2019 BASEBALL SCHEDULE 

BREVARD, N.C. - Head Coach Sean Walsh and the Brevard College Tornados Baseball team have released their schedule for the 2019 season. Brevard's 2019 slate includes 16 home games at Gil Coan Field. The Tornados this season will be eligible to compete for a regular season title in their new conference along with opportunities for weekly and postseason individual honors. 

Walsh enters his third year at the helm of Tornados Baseball and his ninth year overall with the program. 

"We are excited for the 2019 season to get underway'" stated Coach Walsh. "Our team has a good mix of returners and newcomers this season. We have a lot of new teams on the schedule this year that we are looking forward to playing. We are looking forward to seeing how some our new guys can contribute as well as seeing the growth of our returners. I know everyone is anxious to get out there and improve upon last season."

Brevard kicks off its 2019 campaign on the road with a four-game series in Raleigh, N.C. against William Peace University. The Tornados and Pacers open the series on Friday, February 8 with a 5 p.m. first pitch time. Both sides will play a doubleheader on Saturday, February 9 set for 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., with the series finale slated for Sunday, February 10 at 1 p.m. 

The Tornados open their 2019 home schedule at Gil Coan Field against the NAIA's Montreat College in a mid-week matinee set for Wednesday, February 13 at 2 p.m. 

Brevard then meets Toccoa Falls College on the diamond, hosting a doubleheader on Saturday, February 16 at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. both schools then head down to Toccoa, Ga. for a matchup on Sunday, February 17 at 2 p.m.

The Tornados open up USA South Conference play on the road in Demorest, Ga. to battle Piedmont College in a three-game series beginning on Friday, February 22. First pitch will be at 7 p.m. Both sides meet again on Saturday, February 23 at 3 p.m. before wrapping up the series and the month of February on Sunday, February 24 at 2 p.m.

The next weekend features Brevard's first conference series at home, as the Battling Bishops of N.C. Wesleyan visit the mountains of Western North Carolina for a three-game tilt. The series opens with a doubleheader at Gil Coan Field on Saturday, March 2 at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., with the series closing on Sunday, March 3 at 1 p.m.

Brevard hosts Emory & Henry University for a mid-week non-conference test on Wednesday, March 6 at 2 p.m. before returning to conference play on the road in Maryville, Tenn. against Maryville College. Brevard and Maryville will play in a three-game series beginning on Friday, March 8 at 7 p.m. The series concludes with a Saturday, March 9 doubleheader at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. 

The Tornados hit the road to face non-conference opponent Roger Williams on Wednesday, March 13 at 6 p.m. in Lexington, S.C. before hosting Huntingdon College in a three-game series. The Hawks and Tornados kick things off on Friday, March 15 at 3 p.m. before a Saturday, March 16 tilt at 3 p.m. The three-game set concludes on Sunday, March 17 at 12 p.m.

Brevard then meets Pfeiffer University the following weekend in a three-game tilt in Misenheimer, N.C. The two sides will play on Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23 at 6 p.m. on both days before closing things out on Sunday, March 24 at 1 p.m. 

The Tornados then meet in-state rival Greensboro College at Gil Coan field for three home games to conclude the month of March. The Tornados and Pride do battle on Saturday, March 30 at 3 p.m. before a series-closing doubleheader on Sunday, March 31 at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. 

BC Baseball heads to Fayetteville, N.C. for its final conference road trip against Methodist University. The three-game test begins on Friday, April 5 for a 5 p.m. first pitch. The series continues on Saturday, April 6 with a 1 p.m. start time and concludes on Sunday, April 7 at 1 p.m. 

Brevard's final homestand of 2019 also wraps up conference play as Covenant College visits the confines of Gil Coan Field for a three-game series beginning on Friday, April 12 at 3 p.m. The conference matchup concludes with a Saturday doubleheader on April 13 at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m.

The Tornados and the Wasps of Emory & Henry University meet for the second time in 2019 as Brevard heads to Emory, Va. for a non-conference game on Tuesday, April 16 at 3 p.m. Brevard's regular season concludes in Knoxville, Tenn. with a three-game season finale against the Johnson University Royals. The series begins on Friday, April 26 at 5 p.m. before concluding with a Saturday, April 27 doubleheader at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
