BREVARD, N.C.- Brevard will go on the road to face Mars Hill in a doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon, as the teams will make up for the game meant to be played in Brevard on Feb. 21. First pitch between the two schools is set to be thrown at 1:00 p.m.

SCOUTING MARS HILL

After beginning the season 7-20-1, the Lions have been hitting their stride as the team is currently on a 10-game winning streak. During that stretch, the team has scored double-digit runs in six games, and recorded a season-high 20 runs in wins over Coker and King (Tenn.). The offensive charge is led by junior Matt Honeycutt, who leads the team with a .381 batting average and 40 RBI this season.

SERIES VS. MARS HILL

Since the 2009 campaign, Mars Hill leads the series with Brevard 19-11, and is currently on a four-game winning streak against the Tornados. Brevard's last win in the series came on Feb. 20, 2016, as the 'Nados shut out the Lions 10-0 at Gil Coan Field.

BREVARD BATS COME ALIVE

In the first 16 games of the season, Brevard was shut out three times and did not have a game where the team reached double-digits in scoring. Since March 10, the Tornados have averaged 5.6 runs per game while picking up four consecutive wins in a sweep over Berea and a comeback win against Montreat in that span.
