Spectator Guidelines for Brevard College Outdoor Sports in Spring, 2021

BREVARD, N.C. – Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Brevard College has established spectator guidelines for Spring 2021 home, outdoor athletic events.  The updated guidelines are in accordance with the adjusted outdoor spectator policy announced by the USA South Conference on February 23. 2021.  These regulations apply to the sports of baseball, football, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, men's soccer, women's soccer, softball, men's tennis and women's tennis at Brevard College.    

  • Brevard College students, faculty and staff members are permitted to attend BC outdoor athletics events. A current, valid Brevard College identification is required.
  • Each participating student-athlete may designate two (2) family members as their guests for each sport's contest.  Guests must be on pre-approved spectator list in advance of the contest and must provide identification upon entry.  Children age 5-and-under, when accompanied by an adult on the spectator list, are permitted.  Any child age 6-and-over years in age must be on the approved spectator list.
  • No spectators from visiting teams, or those not on pre-approved spectator list, will be permitted to attend a home Brevard College event.
  • Gates will open one hour prior to each home athletics contest.
  • For indoor sports, the current USA South spectator policy shall remain in place as currently stated.

 

All invited spectators to any outdoor sporting event hosted by Brevard College are expected to adhere to the following:

  • Enter the facility area for each respective spot at the designated single-point of entry for ID check-in and issuance of wrist band for event.
  • Follow standard public health protocols set to reduce the spread of COVID-19 which includes washing hands, wearing appropriate face coverings and maintaining social distance.
  • No interaction with players and coaches before, during or after the contest while at the contest venue.
  • Vacate the contest venue immediately upon the contest's conclusion.
  • No tailgating of any nature.
  • No attending other sports happening concurrently on campus of Brevard College.

 

For those unable to attend in-person, Brevard College home athletic events will be broadcast live, free-of-charge, on the Brevard College Athletics YouTube Channel at youtube.com/BrevardCollegeTornados.
