Brevard, N.C. - Due to impending inclement weather from Hurricane Florence, several Brevard College athletic events scheduled for this weekend have been affected.
BC Tornados Schedule Updates:
Football: The Brevard vs. Allen football game scheduled for 3 p.m. this Saturday at Brevard Memorial Stadium has been canceled. The decision was made as a result of Allen University, located in Columbia, S.C., closing its operations in anticipation of Hurricane Florence. A possible make-up date for the contest between the two schools is being discussed.
The Brevard College Football team returns to action on Saturday, September 22 with a road game at Virginia-Lynchburg. The next home game for the Tornados is set for Saturday, October 6 at 1 p.m. vs. Methodist in a USA South Conference match up.
Men's Soccer: The Brevard at Covenant match remains on schedule for 7 p.m. on Saturday in Lookout Mountain, Ga. Due to USA South scheduling as a result of Hurricane Florence, the Brevard vs. LaGrange match originally scheduled for October 20 has been rescheduled for Friday, October 26 at Ives-Lemel Field.
Women's Soccer: The Brevard vs. William Peace match, originally scheduled for Friday, September 14, has been postponed with a make-up date to be announced. The Brevard vs. Averett match, originally set for Saturday, September 15, has been rescheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 23 at Ives-Lemel Field.
Volleyball: The Tornados were scheduled to play in this weekend's Averett University Invitational in Danville, Va. That event has been canceled.
